Dr. Richard Bensimon is a board-certified plastic surgeon with 35 years’ experience largely dedicated to the art of aesthetic surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan and completed his general surgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and his plastic surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. A major emphasis of his career has been the practice of aesthetic surgery. Dr. Bensimon has been recognized for his expertise giving over 130 presentations and has been sought out as an educator in the United States and throughout the world including Canada, Belgium, Holland, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Australia. A particular passion has been the advancement and dissemination of deep chemical peeling as a basis for facial rejuvenation. He has been a vocal advocate for the advancement of chemical peeling as a viable alternative to ineffective and expensive machinery. Dr. Bensimon has published in peer reviewed journals and contributed to multiple educational textbooks translated into several languages. He has participated in live surgery workshops in United States, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Holland, Mexico, and Spain. He is particularly proud to be a faculty member of the Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course ( MAFAC ), the premiere anatomy cadaver course for surgeons.

Andrea Stapleton-Bensimon RN was a pioneer in facial aesthetics as one of the first RN injectors in the United States. Her experience is unique as an aesthetic nurse having assisted on thousands of plastic surgical cases. “ I have a great love for science and art; facial aesthetics is a passion, the only thing more beautiful than the human face is the human soul. We are so fortunate, in our line of work we get to enjoy both.” Andrea strongly feels “ If you want to be great at this, you have to really want to help people feel better about themselves, for us, it is the only reason we do what we do.”

Dr. Richard Bensimon is a renaissance man of plastic surgery. With an undergraduate degree in anthropology, a minor in art and a medical degree, he wants to know how we got here and how can we can be our best selves. His deep love of science and art is reflected in his work and how he lives his life. As Albert Einstein once said “There only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
