Shanti Om Yoga Yoga for your mind, body, and spirit Shanti Om is a Yoga studio located in the heart of St. Johns.

At our yoga classes in North Portland you can expect thoughtful, safe, and fun opportunities for your growth, health, and well-being. We offer a range of opportunities for brand new beginners, as well as those who have some experience under their belt. Our classes are heart centered which means there is a strong emphasis on love and acceptance of all that you bring to the practice--including your

thoughts, body, and history. We start with loving what is while opening up to the possibilities of practice. Every one is encouraged to honor their body and to pay deep attention to the breath. We give a lot of instruction on the breath as we think first and foremost that the breath is the alchemical force in the practice. Most importantly, our classes encourage reflection and attentiveness to the present moment- opening up to the freshness and aliveness that is right in front of us, right here and now. While our classes reflect multiple sources and traditions you'll see a strong emphasis on alignment, while also providing opportunities for slow flows, and build up in some classes to more challenging poses such as arm balances, deep backbends, and inversions. We encourage you to come practice with us for these heart opening and inspiring classes!

Hey Yogis, we have a new teacher and a new class to add to the schedule :) We’re so excited to welcome Brandy Urstadt to the studio!

Brandy will be offering a Vinyasa Flow on Mondays 9:00 am to 10:00 am starting this week. This class is open to yoga practitioners of all levels and it will help you find some balance and strength for your Monday morning :)

Austin’s morning class is a gentle version of Hatha yoga that can build strength, flexibility and can enhance your well being!

Bhaktis Hatha flow explores the relationship between our bodies our felt sense and how this informs our movements.

As the days warm up, this energy in the air can feel frenetic and too much! Summer weekends book up like *that* and we can be left running from one party to another catch-up to an out-of-town weekend.

Between all the movement, can your yoga practice help you find moments of stillness? Between the conversations and road trips and flights and guests, maybe we can find balance, if only for a moment.

Our Story

Welcome to Shanti Om Yoga, the one and only Portland yoga studio with Ayurveda services. Nestled in the heart of St. Johns, Portland, we offer a diverse schedule of yoga classes including Hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, prenatal yoga, gentle yoga and restorative yoga. We also have Ayurveda services like shirodhara, individual wellness counseling, and private Ayurveda yoga sessions and monthly workshops and events.
