Women, we are the problem! I bet you didn’t think I was going to say that, did you? 😏

Yes, we own this problem—but it’s not our fault.

Society has conditioned us to prioritize everyone else over ourselves.

❌ You're juggling a career, parenting, and ALL the domestic duties.
❌ You're the cool, calm, and composed mother and wife, always putting others first.
❌ You're silently resentful, joyless, and can't remember the last TRUE self-care moment you’ve had.
❌ You don’t feel like there’s another way and this burden is your’s to hold forever.

Sound familiar? You're not alone, but you have the power to change this today. ⚡️

Imagine a new reality where:

✅ You're your biggest self-advocate, fearless in difficult conversations.
✅ Your kids witness you shattering old-school norms.
✅ You enjoy downtime as your partner steps up, guilt-free.
✅ You're thriving in every aspect: relationships, career, health.

Investing in yourself isn't selfish; it's the ultimate gift to you and everyone around you. The time for change is now—link in bio to book a call today.🌟

Dealing with your partner's family can be tough. It's your partner's family—which never feels like yours, and while you can (and should) set boundaries based on your personal needs, addressing broader family system is a better shared endeavor with your partner.

The BIG KEY here, is step away from the guilt of doing so. Because you can have relationships with your spouse's family members and YOU can set boundaries for yourself. And ideally, you can do this TOGETHER.

Don't think of it as "us against them". Think of it as you and your partner figuring things out as a team. Brainstorm solutions that prioritize both of your needs and the health of your relationship.

Ex: we both don’t like how your dad drives, instead of them picking us up from the airport
—we’ll rent a car.

Managing in-law issues is easier when you both talk and support each other.

Know someone struggling with setting boundaries with their in-laws and talking to their partner about it? Share this post. Encourage setting stronger boundaries and fostering unity with their partner. Because a united front makes all the difference!

Two things can be true at the same time:
☝️ You can want to be a mom (and crave all the joy that comes with it)
✌️You can be scared to be a mom (and hate the idea of the work that comes with it)

The two are not mutually exclusive.

For many, the idea of motherhood isn't as scary as the day-to-day "mom job."

Here's the honest truth: the labor and loss of independence deeply scared while pregnant. But the role of "MOM" was huge responsibility, this endless to-do list—that made me think "Woah... is this really what I want?".

The mental energy and emotional labor required to be a "mom" seemed like an impossible task. I’d seen so many generations do it before me, and I know I’m not that selfless! It took me years to be brave enough to think about pregnancy.

And here’s the catch: it doesn’t have to look like how you’ve seen it. I figured out a way to make it my own—to not lose myself, and not be saddled with all the domestic and logistical tasks of parenting. Talking to my husband with education, advocacy, and boundaries made mothering SO MUCH EASIER than I ever expected. 🙏🏻

So, if you've ever hesitated, wondering if you're cut out for the endless, yet fulfilling, job of motherhood, you're not alone. Let's normalize this conversation. Drop a "yes" in the comments if this resonates, and share your thoughts.

Ever notice how some folks always step in to keep things friendly and calm? That's called emotional labor.

Often, mostly women, find themselves doing this a lot. It's tough being the peacekeeper all the time. 🌼

So today's post is a shoutout to YOU. The ones carrying the weight of everyone else's problems. The ones helping to keep the peace and keep everything running smoothly. The ones who are downright exhausted trying to make everyone else around them happy.

I see you.

And it's time we change this narrative.

Repeatedly, I hear clients mention the concept of emotional labor. While many nod in understanding, there's often a gap between recognizing it and truly understanding its toll.

When we mask or suppress our feelings, especially in personal relationships, we're not just "softening the blow" or "carrying the load" for someone else; we're also weighing heavily on our own mental and physical well-being.

Isn't it time you prioritized your emotional health, diminished stress, fortified relationships, and felt genuinely empowered?

My tailored 1:1 Coaching can illuminate the self-imposed barriers and counterproductive habits hampering your mental well-being. Learn the art of setting boundaries, the power of saying 'no', and discerning when to genuinely say 'yes'.

Fact: It's entirely possible to be proud of your achievements, to yearn for more, and simultaneously feel utterly drained.

Remember the saying, "Choose a job you love, and you won't work a day in your life"?

I call BS...

In a world where many gauge self-worth by their accomplishments, this passion leads to burnout.

I've worked with many women, driven and on top of their game, feeling stuck. They've scaled the ladder, but with that climb, joy and satisfaction in their life seems impossible.

While ambition and a hunger for success are worth celebrating, tying your value solely to these achievements can lead to never having enough—and the cycle will always continue.

The key? Merge the passion for your profession with compassion for yourself.

🫶 Embrace your career but also honor your well-being.
🫶 Grant yourself pauses. Breathe.
🫶 Aim high but stay grounded with realistic expectations.
🫶 Defend your boundaries staunchly.
🫶 And please, enjoy your lunch away from your desk. Head out into nature, soak in the day during a short walk. Chat with a friend without glancing at the clock. Relish those hearty laughs.

You're more than your achievements. Value yourself beyond work. You truly deserve it. ⚡️

Why's there a bad vibe about women being "fiercely independent" aka SELFISH?

You deserve to carve out space for yourself—to feel strong and free in all areas of your life. 💪

Selflessness is a narrative that hurts women. You can be giving, an amazing caretaker, a wonderful daughter and friend, without using all your energy for it.
