For thousands of years, altars have been the way people across cultures connected with Spirit, ancestors, and the unseen.
They are not just collections of objects—they are living portals. Ways we can connect to those we have lost and honor their life.
Many cultures around the world observe this time of year to honor their ancestors. It’s thought that the vials are thinner and we can connect more easily.
Here is my ancestor altar inspired by the Dia De Los Mu***os, in the Mexican culture. I’ve been invited to many public and private celebrations, and so inspired, like I am with most everything Latin (language, music, food, colors!)!
