But that’s not the whole story.

Mighty Epiphyte Consulting just wrapped up our B Corp recertification - with a score of 157.

That number reflects years of committed work, values lived out loud, and the consistent practice of measuring what truly matters.

It represents dozens of decisions made not for convenience, but for impact - on people, planet, and purpose.

And while I’m honored by the number (who wouldn’t be?), it’s not the number that drives me.

What drives me is the belief that business can be a force for good - when it’s rooted in equity, in care, and in accountability.

Let’s bust these myths right now…

Myth 1: I need a certification or software to get started.
Truth: You can begin with a spreadsheet, a notebook, or a recurring calendar reminder.

Myth 2: It’s too time-consuming – I need to focus on revenue.
Truth: Creating a simple system for reflection can save you time by helping you make more aligned, strategic decisions.

Myth 3: If I can’t measure everything, I shouldn’t do anything.
Truth: You don’t need a complete data set to get started. Focus on 2–3 things that matter most to you. Track consistently. Learn as you go.
