Join Jennie Ferrare (Arcana Owner, E-RYT 500, BA Psychology, Master of Social work student) , Anne Esguerra (1000 Hour Yoga Therapist) for a weekend long deep dive into yoga, embodiment, somatics, ethics, teaching techniques and the neurobiology of trauma in the body. This training will be geared towards 200 and 500 hour yoga instructors looking to integrate trauma informed principles into their teaching, as well as social workers and counselors with deep yoga knowledge looking for more information on trauma and embodiment. Training runs Saturday & Sunday time for trauma-informed yoga and embodiment practices, lecture, discussion, practicum and ample break time.
This course will take place at Arcana, 81 Market street in Portland, Maine.

COURSE is eligible for 14 hours of CEUs
TIME COMMITMENT: NOVEMBER 22nd + 23rd

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: 9:30am-5pm

Arcana friends; if you know of anyone who can foster a dog for a few months, please please reach out !!

Hello everyone!
My name is Jesse and this is my lovely little pooch Milamay (Mila for short).
We are experiencing some difficult times lately. I suffer from an addiction to alcohol, and due to the effects of my behavior we have lost our home and have found ourselves living in a truck. I am in the process of seeking long term treatment for my condition. I am heartbroken to admit this but Im not in a condition to care for her properly.
I am looking for a kind person who would be willing to take care of her. Whether it be temporarily, or if the situation fits for her and you I would love for her to have a new forever home.
A bit about Mila...
She is a beagle about 7 yrs. old. I adopted her at a year old from some sketchy people on Craigslist. I believe she may have been stolen. They just wanted cash and that’s it. Anyway, she came with some anxiety but after 6 years she has become an amazing and fun companion.
She doesn’t need much attention under the right condition.
She loves to have a back yard with a dog runner or a fence. And she loves a walk around the hood everyday. She loves to sleep with people and cuddle. She does make some amazingly loud sounds when she sees a running squirrel. But she rarely barks when in the house. She is house trained and loves kids. Also dogs and she wont hurt cats. But cats have put her in her place from time to time when she tries yo play with them.
She is a wonderful little dog and deserves better than I can give right now.
If anyone out there has the right situation and willingness to adopt Mila I would love for her to find some new love. My heart is heavy as I write this but I know it’s the right thing.

👋 If you’ve ever found yourself peering into your palms curiously- join us as we dive into the mysteries of the hand through our Introduction to Palmistry class!
This two hour long class will provide a basis for understanding the nature of oneself, and what the past and potential future holds inscribed within the hands. We’ll also touch on the history of palmistry, and why it’s been either buried or villainized for much of recent history. This Course will be hosted by our dear Bel, on Sunday, the 20th of July, 6-8pm. Sliding scale is available and encouraged- we would be brokenhearted if anyone pondering this topic was met with a financial roadblock. Reach out to the shop with any questions!
