I’m Dr. Aoife O’Sullivan, a medical physician (MD) with almost 30 years of training and experience, and my current work is dedicated to the comprehensive care of women in midlife.
I’m a proud member of the North American Menopause Society, the International Menopause Society, and the International Society for the Study of Women’s S*xual Health.
Along with my two menopause-besties and colleagues, I co-host an educational podcast, centered around women’s midlife healthcare, called “The Dusty Muffins”, .

I founded Portland Menopause Doc, my telemedicine practice, to serve women in Oregon and Washington and support them as they navigate the complexities of menopause with evidence-based, individualized care and shared decision-making.
In recent years, I’ve focused exclusively on menopause and midlife health—and honestly, I love it. Helping women feel like themselves again during this transition is some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done.
I regularly teach residents, medical societies, and professional organizations across Oregon, and I partner with businesses and community groups to bring menopause awareness, in general and in the workplace, into the spotlight.
You can find me online as , where I share education, bust myths, and encourage real talk about midlife and hormone health. I’m also a frequent podcast guest, a member of the powerhouse Menoposse community, and a fierce advocate for equity in women’s healthcare.
Together with three other incredible physicians, I co-founded the Portland menopause collective , focused on educating the public and clinicians on perimenopause, menopause and hormone therapy.
My mission is simple: to empower, educate, and elevate the care women receive in midlife—and to make sure they never feel dismissed, invisible, or alone.
