A long-awaited vision comes to life at Terwilliger Plaza! From the start, the Parkview Courtyard was designed to feature art that inspires and connects the community. While Parkview was still in the early stages of construction, generous donors established a fund for Art at the Plaza, and architects designated a dedicated site at the courtyard’s center.

After nearly two years of careful searching by a small group from the Artworks Committee, Spheroid, a kinetic sculpture by Seattle artist Ulrich Pakker, has found its home here. Its stainless steel and bronze arms spin gracefully in the wind, creating a dynamic experience for the entire Terwilliger Plaza community. From the Venice Architecture Biennale to Burning Man, this 9-foot-tall masterpiece has traveled far—and now has a permanent home here for all Members to enjoy.

This week we are delighted to welcome back classical pianist Ian Scarfe for an evening of timeless works. Based in San Francisco, Ian is equally at home as a soloist, recital partner, or ensemble player, and is the founder and director of the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival.
