Hi folks! We have immediate openings at Gateway Community Services for Mainecare counseling clients - telehealth and greater Portland area in person. We also have some pro bono opportunities for telehealth and in person in Portland and Lewiston. Several languages are available for pro bono including French, Somali and Swahili. Please message me or put your email in the comments if you'd like a referral form!

Gateway Community Services Maine (GCSM)—our nonprofit counterpart—now has its own page!

Until now, we shared this page with GCSM. As their work continues to grow in community health, youth leadership, climate resilience, and more, they’ve launched a dedicated space to share updates, events, and stories centered on building a more inclusive and connected Maine.

Gateway Community Services, LLC and Gateway Community Services Maine invite you to our Iftar Dinner this Friday! This special gathering is an opportunity to bring together people of all faiths, nationalities, and backgrounds to share a meal, celebrate diverse cultures, and enjoy the spirit of community.

Ramadan is a sacred month for Muslims, marked by fasting, prayer, and acts of charity. The Iftar meal, which breaks the daily fast, is a time of gratitude and togetherness. In keeping with Gateway’s tradition, we warmly invite community members of all faiths—or no faith—to join us for this meaningful meal.

Our Wellness team had an insightful discussion yesterday with members of the Angola and Congolese communities, along with two officers from the Lewiston Police Department. We covered important topics such as US driving regulations and domestic violence support. A big thank you to everyone who attended and to for partnering with us in these essential conversations!
