Hi Moxie fans! Just wanted to give an update on the lifting of the mask mandate this weekend. Masks are no longer required in the salon. Please feel free to continue to mask for your service if you prefer. We want all of our clients to feel comfortable. This has been a long two years and we understand it might take some time to get used to going without one.

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces whenever you are ready. Thank you for your extra support these last few years. We have the best clients!

Hi Moxie fans! Just wanted to post a update on our mask policy. We know things are changing with mask mandates but we plan to continue our current mask policy for just a little longer. We'd like to have everyone who is eligible be able to get fully vaccinated. With 12 and over just becoming eligible this week and still waiting for the next age groups turn, it just feels a little too soon.

Happy New Year to all our Moxie family! This is Cristi, the co-owner, massage therapist and esthetician. I want to reach out and give you a update on my services. I know many of you have been sad I'm not currently working and honestly, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I decided to shut down my services due to COVID-19 concerns. Although the salon has been open and operating safely, I felt my room was a little more of a challenge.

I really thought it would be a rather temporary shut down back in March. I decided to remain closed because of the close contact and small space my services require and to help reduce the spread of this virus. The health department has urged all massage providers to continue to stay closed if at all possible. I've also been helping my daughter navigate the online school world.

I'm looking forward to returning back to work once the vaccine is out there and more easily available to everyone and hopefully, my daughter will be able to return to school.

I just wanted to reach out and say hello and that I promise I haven't disappeared. I miss taking care of my clients so much!

Thanks for hanging in there and I will reach out when I decide to open my schedule. Safety is my top priority and I will be joining the Moxie stylists with following all COVID-19 precautions.

Moxie fans, Washington County is opening on Monday June 1st and so are we! We've been working hard to get the salon ready with the new guidelines required by the state. Please understand these are set to keep us all safe. It's going to be a different salon experience but the laughs will be the same!

Some new changes: We will only have one client per stylist in the salon at a time, less than 10 people in the space total. Unfortunately, we won't be able to have you bring anyone with you to your appointment unless they wait in the car for you. We have moved our waiting area outside and are requesting you wait for your stylist in your car or outside the salon until she is ready for you. She will text/wave you in and open the front door for each client.

We will have questions to ask you the day before your appointment and will have a intake form for you to sign when you arrive, as well as taking your temperature. We will all be wearing masks and require our clients to bring and wear their mask before entry as well.

We've removed magazines but feel free to bring your own reading material, just be mindful not to bring too many things in with you for your safety. Coffee/tea/water/cookies will still be available but your stylist will be serving you directly.

We have put in plexiglass partitions between stations and moved the dryer chairs to practice social distancing. We will have hand sanitizer at each station and will be following additional cleaning measures with guidance by the state.

Things will look and feel different. Bear with us while we all get used to the new norm. We have over 2 months worth of amazing clients to reschedule and will be spreading out the schedule a bit to ease into this as safely as possible.

To all of our valued customers/friends - We miss you!!!
We are awaiting the “official” date for Salon Moxie to reopen!!!
As outlined by the Governor, each county will allow phase 1 (salons are included in Phase 1) businesses to reopen basedon meeting certain requirements. These requirements are set by the State of oregon and the OHA. Washington County may not be in the first wave.

We have been busy preparing the salon to accommodate for everyones safety! You’ll notice some changes when you visit for the first time back.
Please note: we will have specific protocol we must follow. Bear with us…Some examples are: questions we must ask the day before your appointment, no waiting in the salon, masks must be worn by everyone. Plus lots of sanitation measures on our part!

One day (hopefully sooner than later) we will open again and be able to see all of our wonderful clients and help you feel your very best.
Things might look a little different when you return but your safety and comfort is our top priority.
Hang in there, do what you have to do to get through this time and don't forget about us.
