In 2025, Tennessee faces significant food insecurity, with an estimated 11.5% of households unable to provide adequate food. This affects approximately 1,111,150 people, including 308,920 children. The state ranks 35th in the nation for food insecurity, and the need for food assistance is substantial, estimated to be over $757 million annually to meet the food needs of those experiencing hunger.
