Since 2005, Ada, the founder of Ada’s Care Home, has earned a reputation for providing kind, professional, and thoughtful care to the residents that she has worked with.

Before 2005, she had been a highly respected accountant and loved working with numbers. Loving to take care of people, she switched careers about 16 years ago. Running her own foster care home bridges the gap between the things she is interested in most: offering help and care to those in need, managing a business and thus working with numbers again, and cooking great food.
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, Ada's Care Home offers personalized care in a welcoming home environment.
We are looking for kind, hardworking, and dedicated caregivers to help us continue promoting health and quality of life to our residents.

We offer

Competitive pay ($15-$20 an hour, depending on experience)
Paid Training and Education
Flexible schedule
Paid time off after one year of employment

Qualifications
Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
Ability to drive to get to work.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations.

The ideal candidate will:

submit to and pass Background Check.

develop an understanding of dementia, mental health, and/or developmental disabilities.
practice excellent behavioral intervention strategies with residents who experience behavioral difficulties.
safely prepare meals, follow residents’ individual needs and preferences, and provide eating assistance.
clean the home to ensure an orderly and neat appearance as well as safety.
be able to provide bathing and toileting assistance.
assists with daily dressing as well as planning and preparing residents for medical appointments or social outings.
launder residents’ clothing and home’s laundry (towels. sheets, etc.) promptly and efficiently.
maintain accurate and clear progress notes in resident log and on incident reports
assist residents with medications following the home’s policies and procedures.
respond appropriately to emergency situations.
responds appropriately to resident and/or family grievances, residents’ changes in condition, and other issues warranting care and follow-up.
maintain excellent communication with the resident manager regarding work issues, the home’s status, residents’ issues/concerns, etc.
follow all policies, procedures, and protocols as written and implemented.
