Present Moment Well Being, Cal Clark LMT, Polarity Therapist

Present Moment Well Being, Cal Clark LMT, Polarity Therapist Cal Clark is an LMT, Energy Healer and Qigong Instructor in the West End of Portland, Maine. He also teaches Qigong and Meditation.

He offers therapeutic massage, myofascial release, energetic bodywork, and remote energy healing. I am a holistic practitioner that offers Therapeutic Massage, and Polarity Realization Therapy, which is a gentle yet powerful form of energetic bodywork. My modalities range from the deep pressure of my forearms and elbows, as well as gentle touch that is the weight of a nickel. I work on clients who come to me because of their muscle pain, joint pain, and chronic tension. I have clients that mainly seek bodywork to destress, or transcend their limiting thought patterns. My approach involves understanding where various ailments of both mind and body intersect. Above all, any session for any client involves helping them be in the here and now more fully and with more ease. I bring knowledge of the mind-body connection to my work that I attained through my own self-healing. I needed to heal from the distress that I experienced throughout most of my twenties. I attribute my healing to receiving regular massage and polarity sessions, meditating, practicing yoga and incorporating the teachings of Eastern philosophy into my life. This personal success, three years of practice as a bodyworker and my recent advanced training in Polarity Therapy helps me to understand the structural, physiological and emotional causes of stress and pain. I am able to use this knowledge and experience to identify a client’s massage and polarity needs as well as provide suggestions for follow-up self-care. My work's aim is to both renew and empower each of my clients. I am a 2012 Holistic Massage graduate at Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook, ME. Since 2013, I have been operating a private massage and polarity therapy practice and have also been employed at a local wellness spa. I completed a 330 hour program in advanced Polarity Therapy at Spa Tech in June of this year. My office is located in the heart of the Old Port. I also teach Polarity Yoga and introductory meditation classes in Portland and nearby locations.

This Sunday at 10 am! Meditation, Visualization, Energy Work, Qigong, Taiji. Come learn how Polarity Therapy is very specific in healing and fortifying the mind body connection. All levels of experience and no experience at all is absolutely welcome. Bring a journal to set an intention or two and to process your experience. The morning will end with folks lying down in meditation while I use crystals and vocal sounds to attune your energetic systems. Mats are provided but bring a pillow and a blanket if you like. I look forward to sharing this work that Ive been practicing for over 13 years and have been receiving longer than that with some wonderful people. I look forward to seeing more people benefit from the work.

Some examples of the visualizations I use in my Align, Deepen and Re-emerge Polarity Therapy Rituals. There is absolutely no needed experience in energy, healing, visualization, or meditation to attend these events. This can also enhance your meditation and energy healing practice if you have one already. Polarity therapy is about making greater connections within the mind, body in subtle energy systems of your being, and you may use these for enhancing your physical vitality, having more joy clarity or personal empowerment, as well as feeling more connected to the world and purposeful in your existence. If you attend, I’d recommend bringing a journal to set an intention or two, and that could be something short term and it could be something longer-term, especially if you’re dealing with what seems like daunting obstacles. You will come out of my workshop with some tools that you can use on a daily basis and in any way you find useful for the rest of your life.

The next workshop is scheduled for Sunday, June 29 from 10 to 12 PM at the Maine Center for Taijiquan and Qigong in Portland. You can buy a ticket on the Eventbrite or feel free to reach out to pay a sliding scale amount to me directly. I super look forward to sharing this powerful and sacred work with some wonderful people!

Im here to support you however I can, and I shall seek the care and support so I can continue to be available.

My friend Craig is starting his tour later this week in the Northeast speaking of his mental health recovery as a punk rocker. I know it's super last minute but he's looking to speak somewhere Tuesday June 11th. Any help is appreciated, he can speak anywhere from a half hour to an hour and maybe with some Q&A and an opportunity to sell his books.

Chen Style Evidence-Based Tai Chi 7 Form begins tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th at 5:30 and will go for at least 6 weeks. I'll extend the class if there is enough interest to go through the rest of June. Weather permitting, we will practice outside up at the park on Noyes Street.

This class is both good for beginners and intermediate students. I'd encourage anybody to drop in at any time even if they don't make it the first class or two. There will be a lot of repetition.

Dr Yang Yang, a kinesiologist who branded Evidence-Based Qigong and Tai Chi, used the seven forms in a study with seniors in their 60s and 70s, Helping them practice it three hours a week For Three to six months. The results of the study that it made them 10 years younger when it came to balance and motor coordination.

I can personally say that after I took a 25-hour training with Dr Yang over the course of 5 days in 2018 I felt just enough of a temporary transformation when it came to stress reduction, feeling more in my body, and feeling it was a little easier to access a sense of inner peace. 6 years later I feel like the tools of Qigong Tai Chi and Meditation have greatly enhanced my strength and even in the most stressful of times I find that I can find my way back to this practice as both an anchor and a means of inner guidance and wisdom.

If you haven't been to the Maine Center for Taijiquan and Qigong, and you want to try it out, the first class is free! After that, drop ins are $15, and we have monthly memberships for $60 and 10 class passes for $120. Please DM me with any questions.

Qigong and Taìji Foundations return tomorrow. Wednesday. May 1st, at 9 a.m. and will go through June 19th. I'm also adding an evening series starting Thursday, May 9th that will run through June 13th. Either class will extend through the rest of June with enough interest.

In this class we will focus on the basics of breathing and posture that will support relaxing, balancing and strengthening, all parts necessary for cultivating, harnessing, and balancing the subtle energy known as Qi. We will focus on Dynamic Qigong exercises with health benefits that are Evidence-Based, and these will be the foundations of learning a simple Taiji 7 form. In short, Taiji form is a set of choregrapheð movements that have a martial art history, but we are using them for the cultivating of Qi, maximizing our range of motion, strengthening our core, sharpening our balancing. agiliity and mental awareness. Most of all, everything we do is about relaxing and having fun!

All levels of experience are welcome, especially to beginners.Qigong and Taiji is about working moderately and staying relaxed, so anyone can benefit so long as they show up and keep on practicing at their own pace.
