Sun safety: Wear mineral-based sunscreen, lightweight UPF clothing, and a wide-brimmed hat. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours.

Firework and sparkler caution: Keep a bucket of water nearby, never let children handle sparklers unsupervised, and avoid loose clothing around open flame.

Hydrate smart: Add citrus, cucumber, or electrolyte drops to your water to replenish minerals in the heat.

Eat well, feel better: Bring a seasonal dish like grilled veggies, fruit salad, or a healthy mocktail to balance the usual cookout fare.
