Meet the team!

Bryan earned his doctorate in physical therapy from Tufts University in 2022, after studying kinesiology and French at Utah State University.

Bryan was drawn to physical therapy by the unique opportunity to promote physical activity while enhancing others’ quality of life.

He has a particular interest in working with people suffering from chronic pain, and members of the community who face language barriers to receiving high quality healthcare.

Originally from South Portland, he has relocated frequently since first leaving Maine in 2018, including time in France where he met his wife. They returned to Maine in 2022 and are enjoying life with their two small children, finding time through the chaos to take in the beauty of the Maine outdoors.

Meet the team!

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Max completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY in 2017 before attending University of New England in Portland, Maine for his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree where he graduated in 2023.

He has an interest in treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries through various manual therapy techniques and corrective exercises to improve movement patterns and address pain.

Max believes in addressing the whole person within the context of their aches, pains, and injuries and likes to work with people to help them move in whatever way is meaningful to them. Max believes in creating a positive, patient centered physical therapy experience through education and evidence-based care to help his patients to accomplish their goals and help to give them the tools they need to prevent their injuries from coming back.

Outside of the clinic, Max has always enjoyed exploring the outdoors with his wife, camping, hiking, and rock climbing.

Meet the team!

Originally from Connecticut, Ryan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in 2023.

Prior to that he completed his Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont, graduating in 2012 and spent many years working for various non-profits and start-up organizations in the Boston area.

As a lifelong athlete, Ryan was drawn to physical therapy as he spent a lot (a lot!) of time as a patient from high school to present day as a patient, managing his own various orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries. His injury history helps him to understand how frustrating injuries can be, not just from a physical viewpoint, but also acknowledges the mental and emotional toll they can take. He drives treatment through compassion, humor, and strives to build a relationship with each patient, working to cater each treatment session to their needs, their short and long term goals, and ultimately aiming to make the rehabilitation process as enjoyable, efficient, and fun as possible.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys exploring the Portland brewery scene, watching Boston sports, consuming many burritos, and fawning over every dog he sees.

A big thank you to Stan Skolfield from for presenting at Maine clinic’s quarterly in-service.

Always great to get our clinical teams together and learn about some great resources in our community for helping people.

A lot of like minded individuals helping people across southern and midcoast Maine.

Thank you, Stan!

Congrats to Sara! A recent patient of ours who is back to doing the things she loves. Many people live with pain and limitations in daily life that can improve significantly when addressed correctly. Sara is a great example of hard work and a thoughtful approach to treatment.

Sara, thank you for giving us the 👍🏼 to use your pics. Hope to see you doing more hiking and fun in the future.

Monthly group training! We’re constantly working to improve as therapists to best care for our patients. This month’s group training was on low back pain management and how to determine the best course of treatment for each patient and their specific condition.

Many good things came from this, but perhaps the best was the following pun:

Question: “If the leg length discrepancy occurred during pregnancy is it considered apparent?”

“No, they become a parent after the baby is born.”
