A couple of my favs from Copper River raft trip- rail tunnel long abandoned by humans - now used by bruins, and a small sacred island in the middle of the Nazina River carved by water that looks like icebergs from a distance, but is actually very hard white rock -marble?? Any geologists want to weigh in on what this rock is?

Days 1-3 of 12 days of rafting from Nazina Lake at the headwaters of the Nazina glacier in our largest NP- Wrangell St Elias down the Nazina river past mile high cliffs, where long waterfalls meltwaters from the glacier & snowfields behind them feed the Nazina. Childs & Miles glaciers on epic Copper River raft trip- The Copper is surpassed in silt load only by the Amazon, draining a vast number of glaciers, & cutting a mighty swath through the Chugach mountains- words fail at describing rafting swift water amongst icebergs, & witnessing glacial calving.
