Enzymes are one of the gentlest ways to exfoliate the skin.

Instead of aggressively peeling or scrubbing, enzymes break down the “glue” holding dead skin cells together, allowing your skin to shed naturally, without irritation.

Because enzymes work only on the surface, they help smooth texture, brighten skin, and improve product absorption while keeping the barrier healthy.

Gentle exfoliation = healthier, glowing skin.

Hydrated skin isn’t just about drinking water, it’s about keeping moisture in the skin.

When your skin is properly hydrated:• your barrier stays strong• breakouts heal faster• fine lines look softer• irritation decreases• your glow looks natural and not oily

Dehydrated skin often feels tight, looks dull, and can even overproduce oil to compensate.

Healthy skin = hydrated skin.

Consistency with the right cleanser, moisturizer, and barrier-supporting ingredients makes the biggest difference. 💧

Skincare for Dummies Ep 2!💗

Cleansers… here is what you need to know.

Your first cleanse should be an oil cleanse, this breaks down makeup, SPF, dead skin, and all the topical things on your skin!

Your second cleanse (yes you need to double cleanse at night) whether it’s foaming, creamy, soapy whatever is best for your skin type will actually cleanse your skin!

The option to double cleanse with your second cleanser is always there, but your oil cleanser really helps breakdown all the makeup, and sunscreen from the day!

Pigmentation isn’t random, it’s triggered.

If you struggle with dark spots or uneven skin tone, these are the 6 major pigmentation triggers:
• UV exposure – the #1 cause of melanin overproduction
• Heat (IR-A rays) – stimulates pigment even without sunburn
• Hormones – common with melasma and hormonal shifts
• Inflammation & skin trauma – acne, picking, or aggressive treatments can leave marks
• Oxidative stress & aging – environmental damage breaks down healthy skin function
• Genetics – some skin types are naturally more pigment-prone

Understanding what triggers pigmentation is the first step to preventing it, because treating spots is only half the battle.

Preventing them is what keeps your skin clear long-term!

Skincare tips I wish I knew sooner!🧖🏼‍♀️

• Brush your teeth before skincare — toothpaste residue left around the mouth can clog pores and trigger breakouts.
• Face cream isn’t eye cream — the skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate, so it needs products made specifically for that area.
• Don’t neglect your neck and chest — these areas show aging just as quickly as your face, so treat them the same.
• Retinol only works with consistency — using it occasionally won’t give results. Regular use is what improves texture and acne over time.
• Spot treat acne with sulfur — sulfur helps reduce bacteria and inflammation without over-drying the entire face.
• Sleep on silk or satin — smoother fabrics create less friction on your skin and help prevent irritation and creasing.

Two years ago, my life looked completely different.

Since then I’ve started a business, started nursing school, and became a mother.

Some days I’m thriving. Some days I’m just surviving. There have been sacrifices, overwhelming seasons, and many nights where I’ve choose presence over progress.

But the path less traveled has been beautiful.

Motherhood has changed the way I see everything — including what it means to be a woman.

I’m proud to be a woman.
A woman of God.
A mother.
A business owner.
A nursing student working toward serving others.

And now I get the privilege of raising one too. 🤍

Women are strong. Women are resilient. Women show up for each other in ways that matter.

Happy International Women’s Day. 🥂

Not all acids do the same thing, and choosing the right one makes a big difference!

Salicylic Acid → Like drain cleaner for your pores
Best for acne, blackheads, and oily skin.

Glycolic Acid → Like sanding rough skin smooth
Best for texture, dullness, and fine lines.

Lactic Acid → Gentle smoothing + hydration
Best for dry or sensitive skin.

Mandelic Acid → Slow, gentle clearing
Best for acne and pigmentation in sensitive skin.

Azelaic Acid → A reset button for irritated skin
Best for redness, acne, and hyperpigmentation.

PHA → Like a soft washcloth exfoliation
Best for sensitive or barrier-damaged skin.

Save this for the next time you’re choosing skincare acids.
