πͺ΄ Foods & Herbs for Your Wood Element πͺ΄
π³ Wood represents growth, vision, and movement, governing the liver, gallbladder, and tendons. Teachers have said to imagine tender bamboo - it is strong yet flexible! π³
Add these to your day to balance your Wood π:
Foods: π₯¬ Bitter greens (kale, spinach, chard, etc), asparagus, and sprouts to detox and refresh - most green foods! πππβπ© Sour is the flavor of Wood, so sour foods like citrus fruits and vinegar are best in spring with all their new growth. π« Add in some other early harvests like radishes plus some sweet like grains (millet, rice, etc) and π₯ carrots or beets. If youβre really adventurous, look into spirulina!
πΏ Herbs: Dandelion, peppermint, nettle, milk thistle, and chamomile are great herbs to soothe and move the energy of the liver while boosting clarity. π΅ Green tea is another easy one to try! Chrysanthemum flowers (ju hua) and goji berries (gou qi zi) also make a nice tea blend π« Use any of these as a tea or add to meals! Get creative - a squeeze of citrus to any of these would be a refreshing drink on a hot day βοΈ
