Firelight Yoga was created by best friends, (Holly and Jessica,) as a way of sharing their love for yoga with both, current yogis, and with those who have never practiced yoga before. We're not a franchise or corporation. We're a small, local studio in Portland, OR, where teachers from all backgrounds come together to promote optimal health and positive well-being. We recognize that not everyone has the means to practice yoga in a studio and we work with our community to find accessible ways for all to practice with us. We also offer discounts for students, teachers, seniors (60+), military, veterans, first responders and KStation residents. In addition to our signature Hot FLY class, we also offer Power Sculpt, heated and unheated Vinyasa classes of varying intensities, Yin, Gentle Yoga and Deep Stretch! (All of our hot classes are radiantly heated.) As we continue to grow our schedule after closing for many months during the pandemic, we will be adding much more! (Both heated and unheated)

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” —Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we honor Dr. King by remembering that yoga is not separate from community, responsibility, or service. His life and work remind us that nonviolence, dignity, and care for one another must extend beyond personal practice and into the structures that shape our world.

Dr. King stood firmly against state-sanctioned violence and the fear it imposed on communities. Upholding his legacy today asks us to remain attentive to where similar uncertainty and harm persist, and to respond with care, courage, and humanity—both on and off the mat.

Just as yoga blocks support our bodies in practice, we can extend that same support to one another. We invite our community to take at least one action beyond the mat today: support immigrant-led and Black-led organizations, offer your time or resources, commit to learning, or stand in solidarity with immigrant families, Black communities, and others living under the weight of state violence and systemic harm. Small, consistent actions matter. ♥️

From Heather's Vacation Journal | Cabo Pulmo '26
Dear Friends,
I just returned from a site visit to our retreat center in Cabo Pulmo, Mexico and I’ve come back so inspired to share this space with you! Seeing the light hit the water in person confirmed exactly why we chose this sanctuary.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves and unrolling your yoga mat as the sun rises over the Sea of Cortez. Whether you seek solo solitude or the warmth of community, this space offers both...

🌅 I started the day with sunrise yoga on the sky deck, then spent time relaxing with a view of the Sea of Cortez. This evening I enjoyed time in the hot tub looking at the stars. What a day!

🤿 I hiked the trails into the hills and saw some incredible views, but my favorite discovery was the 10-minute walk north of our center—it’s a spectacular spot to snorkel.

🌮 I ventured into the village of Cabo Pulmo today for a snack and had the opportunity to practice my Spanish. People were so welcoming and it was a great way to connect with local culture.

Whether we are sharing a meal at the big communal tables or flowing together in the yoga shala, this space is ready for us. I hope you can join me, Majo & Holly in Mexico from April 12 - 18, 2026! Mostly normal day - just the 6:00 am unheated class cancelled.

Normal schedule 6:00 am through 1:30 pm.

6:00 am classes cancelled, but normal day starting at 7:30 am. Ease into the New Year on your mat!

Ok, we know - sometimes a vacation can feel like work. But on a retreat with Firelight, your only job is to arrive. We handle the rest.

🚐 Transport: We will greet you at the airport and provide round-trip private transportation.
