Let’s talk about AMH - one of the most misunderstood numbers in fertility.
If you’ve been told your AMH is low, it’s easy to feel discouraged. But here’s the truth:
Outside of IVF, AMH is not the make-or-break number you’ve been led to believe.
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) reflects how many follicles are active in your ovaries right now.
That’s why it’s helpful in IVF - it predicts how your ovaries might respond to medication.
But it doesn’t tell us whether your eggs are healthy, whether you’re ovulating, or whether you can get pregnant naturally.
Many women with low AMH conceive naturally.
Many with high AMH still struggle.
Because fertility isn’t one number - it’s a whole picture.
So if you’ve ever been told your AMH is “too low,” please know: it’s not game over.
There are so many things you can do that actually influence how your ovaries function and how your body ovulates.
