We’re still riding high after an unforgettable night supporting MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, all thanks to our amazing friends at 99.9 The Wolf and Erik’s Church! 👏💙

By the end of the night, we believed we had raised just over $18,000… but after final tallies and the generosity of our incredible community, we’re thrilled to share that the total reached $22,912! 🎉

Our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this success:
🤠 Chase Jobe Music and Lauren Alaina for putting on a fantastic show and throwing a party we’ll never forget.
🎸 Erik's Church for being the most generous, welcoming hosts imaginable.
🎤 99.9 The Wolf for continuing to amplify our mission and our message so that every child has access to the care they deserve.
🌟 And a very special shoutout to our 2026 Patient Champion, Stella, and her family for kicking off her champion year with us at this amazing celebration.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of TruChoice Federal Credit Union—and the entire TruChoice team—for their incredible support of MHBBCH! 👏

Through the TruHero credit card program, a portion of interchange income from every transaction is donated to a Maine-based charity selected by the member. Thanks to this generosity, MHBBCH is honored to receive $13,925 from the program in 2025. 🎉

Thank you, TruChoice, for being true heroes to our patients, families and care team. Your support makes a meaningful difference every day! 🦸

Color, inspiration, flowers… and Sponge Bob! 🎨🌼🌷 Our friends from Maine Course Hospitality Group (MCHG) visited to paint the windows leading into the inpatient unit, and brought plenty of sunshine with them! 🌞 Even before the paintings were finished, Sponge Bob, Patrick and Mr. Krabs got shout-outs from passing patients and staff!

Thank you to MCHG for bringing smiles and cheer to everyone at MHBBCH! 🤩

At Let’s Go!, we don’t just deliver programs—we empower people.💙

For 20 years we have helped families build healthier, more active lives, creating lasting habits.
Our impact doesn’t stop with kids and families. We empower parents, caregivers, teachers, and community leaders to model healthy living—creating a confident, inspiring ripple effect across communities.

Hear from a former Let's Go! coordinator, in her own words, about that impact and seeing 5-2-1-0 in action: https://www.mainehealth.org/lets-go/lets-go-is-20

Every year, around 3,500 babies in the United States die suddenly and unexpectedly while they're sleeping. Most of these tragic deaths are due to Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Syndrome (SUIDS) or accidental deaths from suffocation or strangulation. But there are steps you can take to keep your baby safe.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has developed these safe sleep guidelines for parents:

✅Put your baby on their back for all naps and at night,
✅Use a firm, flat sleep surface for sleep.
✅Never sleep with your baby.
✅Instead of bed sharing, room share with your baby.
✅Keep soft objects & loose bedding out of your baby's sleep area.
✅Don't let your baby get overheated.

Recycling is making a difference at for MHBBCH!.

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland is on track to recycle nearly 300,000 cans and bottles per year, and nearly all the money from redemptions is going to important causes like MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, DAISY Award funds, the Sustainability Committee and other care team–supported initiatives.

Thanks to the Food Services team, the cafeteria alone is projected to raise about $8,000 annually for MHBBCH.

The MHMMC Sustainability Committee, Volunteer Services and Environmental Services worked together to bring Clynk — a recycling redemption program — to the care team. After piloting the Clynk collection program in 10 units last spring, it's now expanded to more than 30 units and departments.
