Dr. Valerie grew up in New Hampshire and discovered her passion for health and wellness early on.

She earned her bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of New Hampshire and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England.

Specializing in oncology rehabilitation and pelvic health, she is committed to helping patients regain strength, confidence, and quality of life through compassionate, whole-body care.

Dr. Valerie is a certified ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation therapist with advanced pelvic health training and Level 1 dry needling certification.

Meet Dr. Lizer 🎗️

Dr. Lizer graduated with honors from Tulane University, completing a combined MD/Master of Public Health program in just four years.

She completed her radiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, serving as chief resident, and specialized in breast imaging through a fellowship at Brigham.

Passionate about improving access to care, Dr. Lizer believes healthcare works best when guided by physicians. She lives in Lee with her husband and sons.

Sometimes the moments that seem small end up shaping the core of who we are. 💙

When I was in 4th grade, I met Corey. A 5th grader living with severe muscular dystrophy. His dad carried him onto the bus each morning and placed him in the seat beside me. Our rides were slow, gentle conversations about school, home, and whatever my 10-year-old mind was excited about that day. Some days, we only made it through a few sentences before we reached school.

People told me I didn’t have to sit with him. They offered me “easier” seats. But I stayed. I stayed because he needed a companion. I stayed because he enjoyed our talks. And I stayed because his father’s grateful smile told me those 15 minutes meant far more than I understood at the time.

Looking back, I realize those small moments of kindness weren’t small at all. They were lessons. They were reminders that presence is powerful and compassion is a choice we make again and again.

That same spirit lives at the heart of Ability Allies Physical Therapy. We carry empathy into every interaction, honor every story, and show up for people who deserve to feel seen, valued, and supported.

Kindness can change a day. Compassion can change a life. Humanity can change the world. 💙
