When we set up a sensory session for a child, nothing is random.
That climbing activity?
→ Body awareness
→ Regulation
→ Confidence
That puzzle on the floor?
→ Attention
→ Motor planning
→ Problem solving
Children learn best through movement and play, so we design sessions that meet their nervous system where it is, not where we wish it would be.
It may look like we’re “just playing,”
but every activity has a purpose.
