Shawnee Counseling Center LLC’s mission is to provide each client the highest level of personalized care and treatment by providing an array of abstinence and evidenced based services with the integration of health and human services. The services include evidenced based group therapy, individual counseling, case management, and proper referral to appropriate medical facilities.

Today we proudly celebrate 7 years of Shawnee Counseling Center serving our community, changing lives, and proving that recovery is possible for everyone willing to fight for it.

For the past seven years, Shawnee has been more than just a treatment center — it has been a family, a safe place, and a foundation for countless individuals searching for hope, healing, and a second chance. From treatment and recovery housing to community outreach, mentorship, sober events, partnerships, and giving back whenever we can, our mission has always been bigger than ourselves. We believe in meeting people where they are, loving them through the hard days, and reminding them that their story is far from over.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible staff, alumni, community partners, and every single person who has trusted us with their recovery journey along the way.

Most importantly, we want to give a special thank you to our owner, Sean Sturgill, for his unwavering dedication, resilience, and heart for people. Through every obstacle, challenge, and difficult moment, he has continued to lead with compassion and determination, never giving up on anyone — even when they have given up on themselves.

Around Shawnee, when things get tough, Sean always reminds us:
“Just keep swinging.”

That mindset has helped build a culture of perseverance, brotherhood, accountability, and hope that continues to impact lives every single day.
