Why Watching Less TV Can Extend Your Life

You have often heard that watching TV is bad for you but did you know it may shorten your life?

Watching television boosts your risk of developing health problems like depression and TYPE 2 diabetes.

Studies show watching TV boosts your consumption levels of empty calories from foods high in energy but low in nutrition.

A UK study revealed TV food advertising increased food consumption by 134% for obese children and 101% for overweight children.

The Journal of Economic Psychology determined chronic TV viewing is linked to feeling less happy.

Women who watch 3+ hours of TV daily were 13% more likely to suffer depression.

You also increase your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes by 15% - 20% by watching just 2 hours of daily TV, and your overall risk of premature death jumps by 13%
