Three weeks down; who will win it all? Your Elite Eight are moving on and here’s what’s on tap for the points bomb 💣 of the week!

🚨March Matness teams, listen up. This Points Bomb is about to test how persuasive you actually are.🚨

Your challenge: Bring someone NEW to Blaze. As in, “never tried it here before” new. As in, “you’ve been telling them about this place for months, and they keep saying maybe” new.

Here’s how it works:
Convince a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, literally anyone who hasn’t experienced the Blaze hot room yet
You take a class together
Your team earns 5 points per new person

You can bring up to 4 new people for a max of 20 points per team. So if you and your partner each convince two people to try hot yoga for the first time, that’s the full 20.

“But what if my friend hates it?” Then at least you tried. And you still get the points.

“What if nobody I know wants to try hot yoga?” Get creative. Post about it. Bribe people. Make it weird. We don’t care how you get them here, just get them here.🤪

And who knows, maybe the person you drag in ends up becoming a regular. Maybe they join March Matness next year. Maybe they just survive one class and never come back. Either way, you tried, and that’s worth 5 points!

Questions? Drop 'em below. Otherwise, start making your list of who you’re going to harass.. I mean, invite.😉

Let’s grow this community. 🔥

If you've been lurking on our page for a while now, watching the stories, reading the captions, wondering if your people are inside these walls... this is the universe telling you to stop overthinking it.

First month of membership $49. An entire month to figure out if this is the place you've been looking for. Not your jam? Cancel before your next month and you’re done. No harm, no foul.

That’s 30 days of unlimited hot yoga, power yoga, strength training, mobility work, yoga sculpt, pilates-style mat work, yoga nidra, flow, HIIT, core, fitness in whatever combination your body needs for less than the price of two single classes.

Plus, our membership includes unlimited access to our video-on-demand library for the days you can't make it in, and 10% off anything in our boutique because we know you're going to want new gear once you see what actually holds up in the heat.

After your first month, you’ll stay on a special discounted rate of $149/month (regular price is $189, so you'll continue saving $40 every month).

A month is enough time to get past the "what did I sign up for" phase and on to the "oh, this is why people keep coming back" phase. It's enough time to try different class types, different instructors, and different times of day. It's enough time to stop being the new person and start being part of the community.

You could keep thinking about it. Keep waiting for the right time, the right fitness level, the right moment when you feel ready. OR you could just start! Messy, unprepared, exactly as you are right now.

The room is hot. The people are real. And for $49, you've got nothing to lose except the excuses you've been holding onto.

Link in bio to sign up, or stop by the studio and we'll get you set up. Your first month starts whenever you're ready to begin.

You’re tryna grab the instructor to ask a form question, but the same person is always talking their ear off about sourdough or what their favorite protein powder is.

Group fitness is not the format for personal training. There’s not enough time to help every person with their form. That’s why we’ve created a series of lifting clinics where you can get personalized help, try specific exercises to improve form, and watch slowed-down demos so you can really understand the moves you’re trying to do (and why they’re hard for you).

Tomorrow marks something we've been wanting to bring to this community for a long time: personal training in small groups for big changes.

We're kicking it off with one of the most foundational, most important, and most misunderstood movement patterns in all of strength training.

Tomorrow, we break down the hinge. Built from the Back, our Hinge Lifting Clinic is happening. And if you've been on the fence, if you've been thinking about it, if you told yourself you'd sign up and haven't yet, this is your nudge.

Here's the thing about the hinge. It's not just a gym movement. Every time you pick something up off the floor, load groceries into the car, or reach down to tie your shoes… you're hinging. Your body does it dozens of times a day without you even thinking about it. But most people have never been taught how to do it well. And that gap between how you're moving and how you should be moving? That's where injuries live and where all that untapped strength is hiding.

Tomorrow we close that gap.🔥

We're talking mechanics, range of motion, and pelvic floor. We're talking about why your lower back has been doing work it was never meant to do, and how to fix it. You're going to leave tomorrow, moving better than when you walked in.

If you're not registered yet, there is still time. Hit the link in our bio right now and lock in your spot. 🔗

📅 TOMORROW March 21st📍 Blaze Yoga & Fitness 💰 $99 each or $299 for all four quarterly lifting clinics (hinge•squat•push•pull).

If you hate savasana, you’re not alone.

A lot of people feel edgy, restless, or straight-up uncomfortable when the room goes quiet and they’re asked to lie still. Especially if your body has a history of needing to stay alert.

That fidgeting, shifting, foot-wiggling thing? That’s not you being difficult. It’s your nervous system waiting for the other shoe to drop.

With practice, breath, and the right kind of training (and probably therapy), the body can learn how to settle. But that takes time. And it doesn’t look the same for everyone.

And for yoga teachers: the person moving in savasana isn’t ignoring you. They’re trying to regulate in a world that suddenly feels dangerous.

So if savasana is the hardest part of class for you, you’re in very good company, and it can get better.

Hey Blaze! How's your upper body feeling halfway through the month? If you've been showing up and putting in the work on those scaps, elbows, wrists, and fingers, you're probably starting to notice some shifts.

Maybe your shoulders feel more stable in your planks. Maybe that nagging wrist discomfort in downward dog is starting to fade. Maybe you're gripping those dumbbells with more control (WORK THAT GRIP STRENGTH BABY 👊)! These are the wins we're here for!

If you've missed a few classes or haven't been able to get to Mobility as much as you wanted, no stress. There's still time. Catch us on Mondays at 9 and Saturdays at 10:30 to learn how to use your arm to support everything you love to do in life.

Listen, we know your shoulders hurt. We see you. We hear about your elbow and wrist pain. Come let us help you feel better in your body.

Let's finish March strong. 💪🔥

Wait a frickin’ minute. Wait a minute. You’ve been looking at this all wrong.

How many times have you heard you needed to, "earn this meal with X workout" or that you’re supposed to "burn off those cookies you ate yesterday"?

Diet culture has spent decades convincing every one of us that movement is punishment for eating and that we need to earn the right to fuel ourselves.

But your body? It's a survival machine that's been fine-tuned over millions of years to keep you alive no matter what plague, war, famine, or tragedy struck. And when you show up to class underfed, running on fumes and willpower, your body doesn't think "great workout opportunity. Let’s build some muscle and burn fat." It thinks, "Oh no, resources are scarce, time to conserve everything."

If food is scarce, your body will literally slow your metabolism so your progeny will populate the earth one day. That’s how serious your brain+body are about fuel.

Here's what actually happens when you fuel yourself properly before you move: your body gets the signal that you're safe. That there's plenty of energy available. That it can afford to let you push hard, recover well, and build the strength you're showing up for. It's not about earning anything, it's about giving your body what it needs to actually do the work you're asking of it.

And after? That post-workout fuel isn't a reward or a cheat. It's the signal that tells your body to calm down, repair, rebuild, and get ready to do it again.

This is where community matters. Because when you're surrounded by people who are eating to perform, not eating to compensate, it starts to rewire how you think about your own body. When the person next to you in Strength class is talking about what they ate before they came instead of what they're "allowed" to eat after, it normalizes a completely different relationship with food and movement.
You don't earn your meals. You fuel your life. There's a difference, and it matters.

The world is spinning so fast, you actually have to fight to slow down and make time for yourself.

That’s the best part of yoga. It’s just you and your body and your thoughts and your feelings. No other distractions.

You deserve peace and quiet. You deserve self awareness and deep breaths. And if you want to change the world around you, the first step is to turn inward.

See you in class.

Your back isn’t supposed to hurt when you swing. In fact, it should be one of the easiest ways for you to get something very heavy up off the ground.

If you had to (for example) pick up a giant tree trunk your husband chopped down and get it into a wheelbarrow and push it up a steep hill so you could chop it into firewood and stack it in the woodshed, you would use a swing to get it’s ridiculous weight it up into that barrow (was that too specific? but for real, all of the elms are dying).

A swing is a hinge. It helps you to access some of the deepest, longest, and strongest muscles in your body. It's one of the most powerful, explosive, posterior-chain-building movements in existence when it's performed well.

The magic of the swing lives in the movement of your hips, that sharp, powerful snap that drives the weight forward, loads the hamstrings, and fires the glutes in a way that almost nothing else can replicate. It's not about your arms. It's not a squat. It's about owning your hinge and understanding how to generate force from the back of your body.

When done right, a swing builds bulletproof hamstrings. It creates a strong, resilient lower back. It develops the kind of explosive hip power that carries over to your deadlift, your sprints, your jumps, and every athletic movement you do in and out of the gym.

But when it's done wrong? You feel it in all the wrong places. The lower back tightens up. The shoulders get overworked. You finish a set winded and wondering why your hips feel fine, but your spine is screaming. That's not the swing's fault; that's a mechanics problem. And mechanical problems are fixable.

Join us for Built from the Back on March 21st. We are focusing on form and fundamentals so you can move bigger stuff without pain. It’s individualized training in a small group so you can learn from one another, but get the personal help you need from two of New England’s most beloved mobility and fitness instructors: Sara and Jaylon Curry.
