We were incredibly fortunate to spend the afternoon in historic Norfolk at the Attucks Theater SevenVenues —the oldest theater in the United States financed, designed, and operated by African Americans. 🎭

Established in 1919, the Attucks holds a rich and inspiring history, and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to experience it through our Signature Program.

As an added delight, we discovered a meaningful connection to our Signature Program theme of Boston, Massachusetts, which appeared as a serendipitous thread in the theater’s story! 🤩

spotlighted National Haiku Day earlier this month! 📝

Tied in with our Signature Program, we explored the beauty of haikus; learning how to show vivid images and emotions through just a few carefully chosen words. 🤩

It was a creative, engaging experience that had everyone feeling inspired.

Wilman, our resident, even wrote a heartfelt piece about his friendship with Resident Program Director, Jess, making the moment all the more special! 🫶

In addition to seeing the sweetest mamas and babies, we also each earned 3,000 steps towards our step challenge!

Hearing our crew sing Country Roads brought tears to, Resident Program Director, Jess, because of her deep love and connection with West Virginia!

Paula Harder, our Vice President of Resident Programs and Memory Care, shared how she’s training to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro, inspiring us to set bold goals and chase them with steady, intentional effort.
