Join us tomorrow for our public meeting! If you are looking for an advocate, you won’t want to miss it!

Have you been looking for an advocate to attend your child's school and 504/IEP meetings? Hoping to connect with someone who is experienced and knowledgable on your child's educational rights and the requirements of school districts to uphold those rights? Worried about your child transitioning from school and wondering what is available to them in our community? Consider attending our April meeting, this Saturday April 11th at 6PM, to hear and speak with John Ruggles, Information Specialist and Trainer at Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities.

Our meetings are completely free and open to the public with a family friendly atmosphere. We have a small library, media room, and play room in the back to allow for safe and inclusive socialization. We also have "busy boxes" available if you would prefer your child to stay at your table with you. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend!

We had an amazing egg hunt yesterday for those with developmental disabilities and their siblings! Thank you to all who made the day happen and participated. A huge thank you to DSP PROUD for their help and all the providers for their AMAZING donation of 1,500 eggs! Another thank you to Sonic Drive-In Portsmouth OH for their generous donation of eggs and prizes, the kids loved them! This was our biggest hunt yet, and we were thrilled to see their smiles and enjoy the day with everyone.

Happy Easter! 🐰

We cannot thank Adam’s Flying Pig Coffee House for all the support they have given us since their very beginning! An amazing local small business with a powerful message ☕️

This is the “Why” behind Adam’s Flying Pig Coffee House☕️Today is World Autism Acceptance Day & April is Autism Acceptance Month. We celebrate all the individuals on the spectrum because no two people are alike! Each person is unique on the Autism spectrum. Help us celebrate all the individuals that we know & love on the spectrum with acceptance, wisdom, patience, & kindness. We know they surely practice this with us!! You can purchase a puzzle piece to hang on our windows at both locations— all donations will be given to The Autism Project of Southern Ohio.💙❤️💛

Today is April 2nd, World Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day ♥️

Many do not choose to “celebrate” autism itself. Instead, you can take a moment today to celebrate your autistic loved ones for who they are. Celebrate their personalities, their triumphs, and the love they share and we return.

We can support, empower, and include one another while acknowledging the barriers and hardships many face. To every individual on the spectrum and every family walking this journey: your strength, your voice, and your experiences matter. Please know you are not alone, there will always be a community out there who understands your day-to-day.

That community also deserves celebration. Those who share their advice and listening ears, those who volunteer their time, and those who choose careers and vocations that strive to improve the quality of life of our families and loved ones on the spectrum.

This would be a wish for the world: Let’s choose patience over judgment, kindness over assumptions, and advocacy over silence. Not just today, but every day.

Welcome April and the first day of Autism Acceptance Month! This month we celebrate the individuality, strengths, and contributions of individuals with autism while continuing to advocate for understanding and inclusion in our community.

Acceptance is not limited to April, it is something we should practice every day! By choosing kindness, respect, and empathy, we help build a world where differences are not just tolerated, but truly embraced ♥️
