Guided full body foam rolling, stretching and self-soft tissue mobilization to help you recover like a pro! For people of all experience levels.

Dr. Matt Sweeney, Physical Therapist of Strength and Sport Physical Therapy. Matt has worked with people of all levels to help them overcome injuries and perform at the highest level. He has worked with athletes at the high school level, collegiate level, pro sports, as well as services members in the special forces branches of the military. Come have fun, learn some new tricks, and give your body some great TLC with foam rolling & mobility!

Exciting news! Welcome Dr. Matthew Medeiros, DPT, SCS .medeiros_dptscs to the team.

He brings expertise as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS)(very difficult to obtain), Concussion Rehab, Dry Needling, and multiple additional post- graduate rehab certifications.

Matt brings personal experience from the world of Olympic weightlifting- competing at the national level, as well as a collegiate level ice hockey.

Matt also has served as a direct medical provider for “on the field” sporting events for many years including many here in Portsmouth RI.

Our visions aligned on 3 big things:

1.) Passion- for helping people, and for the growth in knowledge and our own careers

2.) Integrity- Being honest and doing the right thing for our clients and in our business practices

3.) Grit - The desire to work hard for ourselves and our clients

Dr. Matt has obtained his Bike Fit Certification in 2025 through in Bellingham Washington under Dr. Jason Lunden (Bozeman Montana), and Dr. Aaron Catonguay (Summit, Colorado)

Some Injury Statistics:

- 84% of cyclists sustain cycling related injuries: De Bernardo et al. 2012

- 52% of those are overuse injuries (including asymmetries, strength, load managment and improper fit)

- Cyclists are 2x more likely to develop ED than non-cyclists Gan ZS et al, Meta-analysis 2020

- Cyclists were 2x more likely to experience lower back pain than non cyclists! Clarsen et al 2015

What are the most common cycling Injuries?:

- Knees (Patella-femoral, Hamstrings, IT Band)

- Low Back

- Neck (CT junction)

- Numbness (saddle area numbness with& without erectile dysfunction, hand numbness, foot numbness)
