✨ BIRTH CONTROL OPTIONS ✨

There is no one size fits all when it comes to birth control. The right option depends on your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.

COMMON OPTIONS TO KNOW
💊 Birth control pills, taken daily and can help regulate cycles
🩹 Patch, changed weekly and worn on the skin
💉 Injection, given every 3 months
🧷 IUD, long acting and placed in the uterus
💡 Implant, a small rod placed in the arm that lasts for years
🛡️ Condoms, hormone free and protect against STIs
🌿 Natural family planning, tracking cycles and ovulation

Each option has its own benefits, risks, and effectiveness. What works for one person may not be the best for another.

At Harbour Women’s Health, we help you find the option that fits your life, not the other way around.

World Book Day 📚💜

Strong girls grow into strong women and every great story begins with a little imagination.

Today we are celebrating the joy of reading, learning, and the powerful women who inspire us like Ruth Bader Ginsburg who showed us that knowledge, courage, and determination can change the world.

This sweet moment features the daughter of one of our team members because at our practice, caring for women also means supporting the families who inspire them every day.

Here’s to raising curious minds, confident girls, and future leaders one book at a time 💜

🌎 EARTH DAY 🌎

Taking care of your health and the planet can go hand in hand 💚

This Earth Day, we are highlighting eco friendly period products that are better for your body and the environment. Traditional menstrual products can take years to break down, but there are great alternatives that reduce waste and exposure to unnecessary chemicals.

EARTH FRIENDLY OPTIONS
🌿 Menstrual cups, reusable and long lasting
🌿 Period underwear, washable and comfortable
🌿 Organic cotton pads and tampons, fewer chemicals and biodegradable options
🌿 Reusable cloth pads, sustainable and cost effective over time

Small changes can make a big impact, for your health and for our planet.

At Harbour Women’s Health, we support informed choices that empower women at every stage of life. If you have questions about what option is best for you, we are here to help.

Happy Earth Day 🌱

🚨 NEW GUIDELINES UPDATE 🚨

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has released updated guidance on Postmenopausal Bleeding (PMB), and it is something every woman should know.

Postmenopausal bleeding is never considered normal and should always be evaluated. The updated guidance reinforces the importance of timely assessment to rule out serious conditions, including endometrial cancer.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
🩺 Any bleeding after menopause means get checked
🩺 Early evaluation leads to better outcomes
🩺 Most causes are treatable, but should never be ignored

At Harbour Women’s Health, we follow the latest evidence based guidelines to ensure you receive the safest and most up to date care. If you have experienced any postmenopausal bleeding, do not wait, reach out to your provider.

Your health matters at every stage 💜
