An allergy to Lavender. That isn’t something you hear every day…
On Saturday Alli Sargent of Opal & Jade Acupuncture and Wellness held an open house discussion for folks like Makenzie Wells who have allergies, including Alpha Gal syndrome.
We left Alli’s office with the beginnings of treatment for Makenzie’s allergy - a precisely placed needle in her right ear covered by small bandages - and are excited to monitor the needle over the next three weeks. At that point, Makenzie will test her sensitivity to Lavender in a safe way with the hopes of a lessened reaction to the plant and it’s oils.
