Local friends/parents - this video outlines a service delivery model in our state that could offer occupational therapy in coordination with the P*P office - consult, evaluation and short term interventions at the pediatricians office. I think it's brilliant in terms of acess and could help with long waitlists that I see with our local seacoast practices.

I'm super impressed with Portsmouth Public Library (NH) and our local middle school for setting up a sweet night of preparation for the incoming 6th graders. A "survival" class, scavenger hunt around the building, locker combination practice and emphasis on the importance of hygiene (with a to-go kit) made my OT ❤️ sing! I love to help my clients get "ready"'for the next phase of school in our treatment sessions and was thrilled to see the opportunity for all kids to practice!

Smart phones and kids - we know is a bad combination. The smartphone is requiring our brains, and mental health is suffering. The author of Anxious Generation gives parents 4 things they CAN do

1. Wait until high school for a smart phone
2. Delay social media use until 16
3. Phone free schools
4. Free play!
