Why Mama Buddah Womb Center exists.

I feel many may wonder why my main focus would be on women of color. I am a women of color and worked as an OBGYN RN for almost 30 years! I know firsthand that the reproductive health disparities minority women experience are alarming! The tip of the iceberg has only been glimpsed by the healthcare system and public at large.

Women of color are not fully heard or understood by their healthcare providers despite their socioeconomic classification and many die as a result! Case in point Serena Williams a world class tennis star almost dies after childbirth in her first pregnancy because of a blood clot in her lungs. She was taking blood thinners during pregnancy for a preexisting clotting problem and after her delivery she complained of shortness of breath for hours and was ignored! Had she not advocated for herself she probably would not have lived to tell her story! This is the story unfortunately for women of color across the board!

I have established Mama Buddah Womb Center for all women with special focus on women of color where they can not only learn how to maintain and support their optimal reproductive health naturally with herbal remedies along with natural therapies through childbearing years and beyond menopause in tandem, they are supported through and educated about conditions they are experiencing or need medical attention for and self-advocate effectively.Why Mama Buddah Womb Center exists.
