People think grief is crying.

But grief is waking up tired.
It’s forgetting words.
It’s being pulled into memories you didn’t ask to remember.
It’s holding back tears in the grocery store because a song or a scent brought them back.

Grief isn’t just sadness — it’s the body remembering what the heart can’t let go of.

The combination of light snow and patchy freezing drizzle has created some icy/slick spots across the area this morning. Some partially-melted snow has refrozen with the arrival of colder air. Exercise extra caution if traveling and take it slow (whether walking or driving)!

Temperatures are plummeting in the Tri-State, and this frigid weather can lead to hypothermia which occurs when your body temperature falls to a life-threatening level.

Avoid or limit outdoor activities and layer up with loose, warm clothing. Don't forget a hat, warm boots and mittens.

🧣Stay warm. Stay safe. And seek medical attention if you're experiencing signs of hypothermia.

💙 During this holiday season, which can be especially difficult for many, we want to pause and remind our health professionals that you are not alone.

In healthcare, you give so much of yourself: long hours, emotional moments, and the weight that isn’t always visible. Stress, exhaustion, and burnout are real, and the holidays can intensify those feelings. But you don’t have to face them alone.

🫂 A small act can make a big difference. A quick message, a genuine check-in, or a simple “I’m here for you” can lift someone’s day more than you know.
