A new study demonstrating cardiovascular risks associated with the consumption or sugar substitute, erythritrol. You have likely seen this piece published in Nature which casts a long shadow over the popular sweetener Erythritol. It suggests a fairly tight dose response relationship between erythritol consumption, increased clotting and platelet aggregation, which could dramatically increase CV events such as stroke and heart attack. I find this especially troubling in light of the C-19 spike protein found in the vaccines and Covid infections that has proven harmful via increased risk of clotting and sudden death for cardiovascular events.

If you are NOT taking blood thinner medications, this would be a good time to talk with your doctor about natural blood thinners such Nattokinase, Omega 3 Fish oils, turmeric, ginger and garlic are but a few foods and supplements that thin blood. Best not to over consume these foods and supplements. Thus the recommendation to consult your medical provider.

Johanna Golke has accepted a position and will begin working at Intregrative Medicine NW in 2023. The clinic is based out of Spokane but she will be working on finding a space where she can continue seeing her Idaho patients locally in either Coeur d'Alene or Post Falls. She will be practicing Functional Medicine and help patients get to the ROOT CAUSE of their issues. So what is Functional Medicine? Functional Medicine focuses on finding underlying toxicities in the body that are causing nutrient deficiencies and disease. This can be heavy metals, chemicals, parasites, infections such as Epstein Barr, bacteria that cause Lyme disease and it's coinfections, mold, overgrowth of bacteria or yeast in the gastrointestinal tract, and more. She will be treating many conditions including IBS, autoimmune diseases, anxiety, headaches, hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Chronic Lyme Disease, mycotoxin toxicity, gut issues, and more by helping patients find the underlying toxins contributing to their symptoms, removing the toxicities, and then replacing nutritional deficiencies to help the body heal. I have had the privilege of serving as a physician and health advocate in the beautiful North Idaho since 2011.I treasure the friendships and bonds I have established with my patients over the years. I believe that you and I formed meaningful partnerships to construct solid health and wellness paths that are unique to each one of you.
As most of you know, we lost our son, Tristan, in February after a long and painful medical battle. Our life, goals, and expectations changed forever at that moment. I have arrived at a new stage in my career where I need to downsize my practice so I can serve the Lord and my community better. Therefore, I will go back to working as a solo provider and continue to provide care for hormone management patients only, effective January 1, 2023. You can contact your insurance companies to find a new provider and we will transfer your records for a seamless transition. We have also attached a list of other family medicine offices
in the area.
This is a very difficult decision for me, as I value each one of you immensely. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this decision may cause. You have known my story and journey since the beginning; I believe that you will understand and support me like you always have.
