Healthcare is more than appointments and procedures. It is leadership in action, compassion under pressure, and a commitment to serving our community every single day.
RCLA Class of 2026 recently spent Healthcare Day learning firsthand what it takes to support the health and wellbeing of Post Falls and the greater North Idaho region.
Our group visited Northwest Specialty Hospital, where we heard from River City Chiropractic, NIACH Rehab, and Kootenai Prosthetics about specialized care, innovation, and patient-centered service. We toured Heritage Health, Kootenai Health, and Post Falls ER & Hospital to see the scope of services available locally from preventative care to emergency medicine and everything in between.
Throughout the day, guest speakers from Acrisure, North Idaho Physical Therapy, and Hospice shared powerful insights about leadership in healthcare. Whether serving on the clinical side, the administrative side, or in supportive services, every role requires integrity, resilience, empathy, and the ability to make critical decisions that impact lives.
Healthcare is one of the strongest pillars of our local economy providing jobs, driving innovation, and ensuring families can live, work, and thrive in our community. It takes courageous leadership, collaboration across organizations, and a deep sense of purpose to meet the growing needs of North Idaho.
We are grateful to the professionals who opened their doors, shared their expertise, and reminded us that leadership in healthcare is ultimately about people.
