Kelly Falkner- RYT 500 Certified Instructor

Kelly began practicing yoga online at the suggestion of a friend, fell in love with it, and has maintained a dedicated home practice for years. In January of 2020, she decided to pursue a 200-hour RYT certification at Trailside Yoga and Beyond in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and came away from the experience with an enthusiastic determination to share “the b

ig yoga” with others. She recently completed her 300-hour certification and is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 500 HR certified instructor. Kelly has been a teacher since 2002, first as an English teacher in the public school system, then as an EAST facilitator at Kiamichi Tech in Poteau and now as Employment Facilitator at the same campus. Her philosophy of teaching has always been focused on student growth, empowerment, and self-reflection. Her goals in the classroom have been to inspire positive change and to create a space where students feel supported and respected. Her approach remains the same in her work as a yoga instructor.

🧘🏻‍♀️Restore & Renew Yoga is a combination of yin, restorative and gentle yoga. It’s slow, restful and beneficial in so many ways.
🧘🏻‍♀️Join us on Tuesday evenings at 5:15 pm for a 60-minute practice.
🧘🏻‍♀️No experience needed. If you can lay on your yoga mat, you can participate.
🧘🏻‍♀️ $15 per class - Your 1st class is free.

Don’t Hesitate

If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy,
don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty
of lives and whole towns destroyed or about
to be. We are not wise, and not very often
kind. And much can never be redeemed.
Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this
is its way of fighting back, that sometimes
something happens better than all the riches
or power in the world. It could be anything,
but very likely you notice it in the instant
when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the
case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid
of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb.

The kids at Rocket Camp let me hang out with them yesterday for a short Mindfulness/Self-Regulation workshop. We discussed 5 ways to self-regulate:
1. Breathing Exercises
2. 5-Senses
3. Mindful Walking
4. Tapping
5. Mindfulness Jars (We made these together…bring on the glitter!)
