What is this crazy picture??? 🤔

Last year I bought some hair clips to make gemstone beaded dangles… and of course, because I am absentminded and often misplace things, I lost them!

I just ordered another batch and hope to have some of these ready for you soon… a little glitz that you can clip into your hair for special occasions… or just whenever!

I was inspired to make these from years ago when I attended the Renaissance Faires in Clearwater, Florida every summer and purchased all kinds of dangly hair and ear adornments. I can’t wait to start making my own to share with you! Stay tuned 💗

Everyone who attends the sound healing event this Sunday, Once in a Blue Moon, will receive an aromatherapy inhaler to use at the event and take home, as well as a self-heating eye mask to pamper the eyes.

The event will take place at 4:30 pm at the Healing Arts Center. Enjoy some gentle movement to release tension in the body, intentional breathing, aromatherapy, a guided meditation, and a sound journey featuring musician Dr. Caron Collins and myself.

I had a custom order for some soap this weekend, so of course I had to make extra!

This is all Premium Oatmeal melt-and-pour soap base with 2% dilution of essential oils. If you are seeking cold process soap, I recommend Tiny Hiney Soap Company or Dirty Business Bath Company - both are wonderful, with ethically-sourced ingredients and owned by lovely people.

Currently I have a limited supply of the following in stock:

Peppermint & Lemongrass: with lemon, peppermint, and lemongrass essential oils. Although this is a low dilution, I recommend avoiding intimate areas of skin with this soap as peppermint can be rather tingly to the skin and lemongrass, even at a low dilution, can be irritating to sensitive skin types. However, I did keep the lemongrass at about .5% which is at the low end of the recommended dilution rate for this essential oil.

Slumbering Lavender: my signature blend, with Lavender, Bergamot, Patchouli, Vetiver, and Yuzu. This is a great soap for all skin types and children as lavender, patchouli and Vetiver actually have beneficial properties to the skin when diluted properly and used topically.

Frankincense & Lavender: with Frankincense Carteri & Frereana, as well as Lavender and Lavendin. Simple, clean, and grounding. Also good for sensitive skin types and children.

I will likely not have these out at Potsdam Farmer’s Market as I’m doing my best to avoid too much overlap with Dirty Business (we are right next to each other and I love that with both have personal care and bath products, but our own distinct vibe and identities). 💗

If you would like a bar, you can stop by my place, ask my to bring however many to the market just for you, or I can arrange local delivery.

We are sold out of the Lavender Magnesium bedtime spray, so I created a new batch of magnesium spray using Best Sleep Ever blend by Eden’s Garden. This amazing synergy not only smells lovely; it also contains melatonin to support a peaceful night of sleep.

The essential oils in this synergy were also carefully blended for their relaxing properties. It’s a real challenge to create a blend that is both effective and romantically pleasing; this company knocks it put of the park on almost every synergy blend they create. (And no, I don’t wholesale with this company; nor do I profit from promoting their essential oils).

I added Lavender Hydrosol to the base, which is a sweeter and more herbaceous-smelling lavender than the essential oil.

More new products? Yes, please!
I was on a roll today creating new candles and an aromatherapy spray…

Baltic Ice Candle: this is a deep, complex aroma that would actually be amazing in a beard oil. If you like more “manly” scents, you’ll definitely want to sample this one. It’s hard to put into words. Simply magical!

Dragon’s Blood Candle: my Nag Champa candles last year were so popular, I thought I’d continue the incense theme. I actually have pure dragon’s blood resin, which not only makes a wonderful incense - it can also be used in skin salves! Although this candle is made with fragrance oil, it smells close enough to the real thing to make you feel a bit of nostalgia for your misspent youth smoking clove ci******es, living on the wild side, and burning stick incense day and night 😉

Blooming Harmony Aromatherapy Spray: Eden’s Garden makes some pretty amazing blends of essential oils that bring more costly aromas down to an affordable price. I used their Jasmine and Gardenia blends, which feature exotic essential oils and extracts such as Osmanthus, Oud, Champaca, and Tuberose, along with Appalachian Valley’s natural fragrance honeysuckle blend, and added a bit of Jasmine Absolute. If you love exotic florals that are reminiscent of beautiful gardens, I think you will love this one!

Available tomorrow at the Potsdam Farmer’s Market. Please note that candles should be cured for 2 weeks before burning for maximum scent throw, though I’ve test burned these the same day with good results. 💗

What I created tonight…

Velvet Nectar aromatherapy spray. This one contains too many essential oils, absolutes, and CO2 extracts to list in this post. But to mention a few: Frangipani, To***co, Neroli, Ylang Ylang, Vanilla, Vetiver… it’s multifaceted, complex, earthy without being weighty, and can serve as a light perfume, room or pillow spray.

Fresh Lilac candles. Oh, how I wish the smell of lilacs in spring were not so fleeting! My trees are a bit slow this year to bloom. In the meantime, Black Tie Barn did a smashing job with their fragrance oil version of Lilac for these candles. I simply can’t recommend them highly enough.

These will be available at the Potsdam Farmer’s Market this weekend, and of course I have testers for the spray!

I also restocked my Eight Bandits foaming hand soap.
