Being “bad” at meditation is good for self control. Being “bad” at mediation is exactly what makes the practice effective. Typically what we are doing in meditation is exactly what we need to do in real life. Catch ourselves moving away from a goal and then point ourselves back at the goal. In this case, focusing on our breathing. Self control is a process of noticing when we are off goal and redirecting ourselves towards the goal. The worse the mediation, the better the practice for real life. As long as we are able to notice when our minds are wandering. Meditation is not about getting rid of all your thoughts. It’s about learning not to get so lost in them that you forget the goal. Don’t worry if your focus isn’t “perfect” when mediating. Just focus on coming back to the breath, again and again.

Good morning everyone,

We wanted to extend an official invite into our new female home! The house lies in the business section of Pottstown Pa and is walking distance from many reputable Alcoholics anonymous & Narcotics anonymous 12 step meetings. The house fits 12 comfortably and includes, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a spacious back patio and finally an upstairs balcony that offers the girls some privacy as well!
