Alan Chambers, the former and final president of Exodus (the premier umbrella organization for ex-gay ministries) who shut it down in 2013 and embraced pro-gay theology, was just arrested for soliciting what he believed was a 14-year-old boy, but was actually a detective. The media and LGBT activists are spinning this as an indictment against ex-gay ministries. But the fact is Chambers has been opposed to our work for at least 15 years. So, is his downfall a sign of hypocrisy or the outcome of refusing to work on his root issues and instead embracing a doctrine of "pure grace" that doesn't require repentance and transformation? Wayne shares his story of sexual brokenness and repentance. Just had a great conversation with Josh Slocum on the Disaffected Podcast! He had shared my recent Christian Post op-ed about the Supreme Court decision on "conversion therapy" for minors, and wanted to discuss my story and all things homosexuality. Recently, a video from a small claims court TV show, Equal Justice with Eboni K. Williams, went viral online. A man, Gregory Talbert, sues his 18-year-old son, Michael Talbert, for $6000 to compensate him for dropping out of a "conversion therapy" program when he was 17. All the gay news outlets are running with this story as if it's a true event. And there's no disclaimer at the beginning of the video. But do a bit of digging and it's clearly anti-Christian, anti-therapeutic choice propaganda. But it fits the narrative, so people are eating it up!
