🎧 1. Be Patient
Adjusting to hearing aids takes time. Your brain is relearning how to process sounds—give yourself grace as you adapt.
🦻 2. Start Slow
Wear your hearing aids for a few hours each day at first, then gradually increase wear time as you become more comfortable.
🔊 3. Practice Listening in Different Settings
Start in quiet environments and work your way up to noisier places like restaurants or group conversations.
🧠 4. Expect Some Sounds to Feel “Louder” at First
Everyday sounds like footsteps, paper rustling, or your own voice may seem unusually loud at first. This is normal and will improve over time.
🧼 5. Keep Them Clean
Wipe your hearing aids daily with a soft, dry cloth and follow cleaning instructions from your provider. Clean devices = better performance!
💬 6. Communicate With Your Provider
Don’t be afraid to speak up about what’s working and what’s not. Adjustments can make a big difference in comfort and clarity.
🔋 7. Learn How to Handle and Store Them
Practice inserting and removing your hearing aids, and always store them in a safe, dry place when not in use.
📲 8. Use Any Companion Apps or Tools Provided
If your devices pair with a smartphone or remote, take advantage of the features to fine-tune your experience.
