Does this pencil grasp look familiar? What can we do to help with this pencil grasp?
Some ideas off the top of my mind:
-The forearm needs to rest on the table. Try a sticker where they place their arm. You can also use a slant board (or 3 ring binder: https://www.theottoolbox.com/why-use-slant-board/). You could also work on the vertical surface with various activities.
-The goal is to see a little more wrist extension. This will help pull the fingers into a more functional position. Here's information on that aspect: https://www.theottoolbox.com/toys-for-extended-wrist-stability-activities/
-Try broken crayons and small pencils.
_Use a sticker at the bottom on the pencil/crayon for a visual on where to hold the writing tool.
