It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Diana Lee Silverman. Christmas night, patients and my heart, lost someone truly extraordinary.
Diana was not only an extraordinary breast surgeon, but for many years my partner in life and in medicine. As a husband-and-wife team, we had the rare privilege of working side by side—supporting one another, sharing ideas, and caring for patients together with a deep sense of purpose and compassion. Our collaboration was built on mutual respect, a shared commitment to excellence, and a belief that patients deserve both skill and humanity in their care.
Diana’s dedication to her patients, her strength, and her unwavering empathy touched countless lives. She brought integrity, warmth, and grace into every room she entered, whether it was the operating room or our home.
Working together was not just a professional privilege … it was one of the greatest joys of my life. She will be deeply missed by our patients, our colleagues, and by me beyond words. I am endlessly grateful for the time we had working together, caring for our community together, and dreaming together.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, trusted us, and walked alongside us. Our New Beginnings family mourns this tremendous loss. We are grateful for the support, kindness, and understanding during this incredibly difficult time. Dr. Diana Silverman will always be a part of the heart and foundation of New Beginnings Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and forever a part of me.
