I trained in a gym that offered Rock Steady. I was so proud of the trainers at the Lexington Ave gym helping and empowering the amazing people battling parkinsons disease.
It's October and it's breast cancer awareness month and I can say with confidence that most of us in one way or another have been affected by this nasty disease. Recently I saw on the Today Show, Boxing against Breast cancer and I was inspired. Although I may not be the Blonde Boxer anymore I am Maureen with a passion for Boxing. I'm not sure how many people are aware but September is uterine/endometrial awareness month (peaches). Next year I would like to start a yearly peaches boxing against uterine cancer awareness. Anyone who is interested PM me. It's seriously time to kick cancers ass and what better way then with boxing gloves.

When I first lost my hair I could barely look in the mirror. When I did I bursted into tears and turned my head. I felt like a part of me was gone. Today I stared in the mirror and realized I’m not gone in fact I’m stronger then ever. I’m fighting and will beat cancer. Whether my hair grows back or not I will have my life, my loving family, friends and new memories to make. I’ve learned that a good heart and inner beauty will always conquer outer beauty. This is me and I’m proud to show it.
