๐Ÿ’ฉ CONSTIPATION & NERVOUS SYSTEM DYSFUNCTION: What Parents Need to Know

If your child struggles with chronic constipation, here's the nervous system connection nobody's talking about:

THE DIGESTIVE NERVOUS SYSTEM: ๐Ÿ“Š 75% of digestive function is controlled by the vagus nerve ๐Ÿ“Š Parasympathetic nervous system = "rest and digest" mode ๐Ÿ“Š Sympathetic dominance = digestion shuts down ๐Ÿ“Š Spinal nerves coordinate colon contractions

COMMON SUBLUXATION PATTERNS IN CONSTIPATED CHILDREN: ๐ŸŽฏ Upper cervical (C1-C2): Affects vagus nerve function ๐ŸŽฏ Mid-thoracic (T5-T12): Impacts stomach and small intestine ๐ŸŽฏ Lower lumbar/sacrum: Controls colon and elimination

HOW INSiGHT SCANS REVEAL THE PROBLEM:
โœ… Surface EMG: Shows tension patterns affecting gut
โœ… Thermal Scan: Reveals autonomic imbalance
โœ… HRV: Measures stress vs. rest response
โœ… Together: Complete nervous system picture

WHAT CHANGES AFTER ADDRESSING SUBLUXATIONS: ๐Ÿ’š Bowel movements become regular and comfortable ๐Ÿ’š Less straining and pain during elimination ๐Ÿ’š Reduced belly distention and discomfort ๐Ÿ’š Better overall mood and energy ๐Ÿ’š Improved appetite and eating patterns

Your child's constipation isn't a life sentence. When we address nervous system interference, the body can finally coordinate proper digestion and elimination. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Can we talk about something that's affecting your child's comfort every single day but nobody's connecting to their nervous system? Chronic constipation ๐Ÿ’š

I see exhausted parents who've tried everything - dietary changes, probiotics, stool softeners, increased water - and their child is STILL struggling with painful, infrequent bowel movements.

Here's what most families don't realize: digestion is controlled by the nervous system. Specifically, the vagus nerve and the nerves exiting your child's lower spine coordinate the entire digestive process.

When subluxations interfere with these nerves: ๐Ÿง  The colon doesn't receive proper signals to contract ๐Ÿง  Digestive motility slows down significantly ๐Ÿง  Your child's body can't coordinate the elimination process ๐Ÿง  Even with perfect diet, the nervous system can't do its job.

Signs the nervous system might be involved:
๐ŸšจConstipation that doesn't improve with diet changes
๐ŸšจPainful bowel movements despite stool softeners
๐ŸšจBelly pain and bloating that comes and goes
๐ŸšจChronic issues since birth or after a specific incident

The brain controls everything - including your child's digestion. When we address spinal subluxations, we're supporting their body's innate ability to digest and eliminate properly.

Our INSiGHT scans show us exactly where nervous system interference exists. Then we can address it specifically with gentle adjustments designed for tiny bodies.

Your child doesn't have to struggle with this. Book a consultation and neuro scan to see what's really happening ๐Ÿ“ฒ

I want to share 18-month-old Emma's story with her mama's permission, because it shows the power of addressing nervous system interference early ๐Ÿ’—

Emma wasn't walking yet. She had low muscle tone, poor balance, and seemed uninterested in pulling up or cruising. Early intervention was helping, but progress was slow.

Her mama brought her to us asking, 'Could her nervous system be part of this?'๐Ÿง
What our INSiGHT scans revealed: Emma's nervous system showed significant stress patterns in the areas controlling motor function and coordination. Her Surface EMG indicated muscle tension imbalances, and her thermal scan showed autonomic nervous system dysregulation.

During her birth, Emma had been stuck in the birth canal for an extended time before vacuum assistance. That stress had created subluxations affecting her body's ability to coordinate movement.

Emma's progress over 8 weeks: Week 2: Began pulling herself up independently Week 4: Started cruising along furniture with confidence Week 6: Took her first independent steps Week 8: Walking across the room with improving balance

'I cannot believe the difference,' her mama told us. 'It's like her body finally got the memo that it COULD do these things. The physical therapy is working so much better now that her nervous system can actually receive and process the signals.'

This is what happens when we remove the interference - the body can finally do what it's been designed to do all along ๐Ÿ’š

Is your child experiencing developmental delays? Our neuro scans can show you exactly what's happening in their nervous system. Book your consultation today - link in bio.

If your child isn't hitting milestones 'on time,' I want you to know something important: you haven't done anything wrong, and there's often a nervous system piece to this puzzle that nobody's looking at ๐Ÿ’™

What developmental delays might look like:
๐ŸšจNot rolling, crawling, or walking within expected timeframes
๐ŸšจSpeech delays or difficulty with articulation
๐ŸšจPoor coordination or balance challenges
๐ŸšจDifficulty with fine motor skills like holding utensils
๐ŸšจSensory processing differences

The nervous system connection: When subluxations interfere with brain-body communication, your child's body might not receive clear signals for movement and coordination. It's like trying to stream a video with poor wifi - the content is there, but the connection keeps buffering.

At Looking Glass, our INSiGHT scanning technology guides us to where nervous system interference exists. We can see objectively what's blocking your child's development - then address it with gentle, specific adjustments.

Your child's body WANTS to develop on schedule. Sometimes it just needs the right support to do what it's designed to do ๐Ÿ’š
