evidence based medical practices. Growing up in Seattle, Dr. Amy Anderson always knew that she wanted to be a doctor. It was her sincerest wish to help people lead healthy, happy lives. After attending the University of Washington, she earned her medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then attended the University of Louisville Medical Center for residency training. She has received advanced training in Functional Medicine, a cutting edge personalized approach to wellness. The Art of Health, formerly in Silverdale, Washington, currently in Poulsbo, takes a holistic approach to health care and is the only functional medicine practice in the area. Functional medicine is a cutting-edge medical specialty that focuses on how the environment and lifestyle affect gene expression and health. Amy Anderson, DO, and her team work closely with each patient to develop individual treatment plans using traditional and alternative therapies to optimize health and wellness.
