We enjoyed a trip to the Bainbridge Heritage Museum. They had displays of various historical parts of Bainbridge Island, including the various cultural aspects of those who live on the island. A great educational trip to learn more about our local history.

For our Summertime Swing event, we served cajun shrimp, roasted corn, and seasoned roasted potatoes. With a couple of glasses of wine or punch, and it was a big hit!

For our creative event, we did watercolor bookmarks with Charlie, Dorothy, Vera, Jan, and Peggy. Various techniques were explained, and then everyone let their imagination flow. Every bookmark was different and beautiful!

Soon after Golee moved into Brookdale Browns Creek, she looked across the dining table and saw a familiar face. Do you like gnomes? Susan, Jo, Linda, and Nita do! The bodies are made of a variety of fabrics to choose from and then stuffed. They had a choice of which body they wanted, then picked a flower and beard. Then they were put together for a summer gnome! We are already making plans to make a winter gnome later in the year.
