As many of you know, April is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month. Since 1998, we have had the privilege of working with children and families to help develop skills to globally enhance quality of life. While the intervention we provide is covered somewhat by health insurance the supplies needed are an additional burden on families. We do provide a lot of supplies for programming needs but families are still required to buy a long list of supplies to support their child's program.
Given that Autism Spectrum Disorder occurs across all socioeconomic groups equally, we do have families that struggle with the extra expenses of co-pays and supplies. If you feel compelled, I have attached a list of the supplies that are often requested that our families would appreciate any assistance with. Please share!
