We were honored yesterday to host a meeting of the minds with special guest, the Honored Senator Danny Verdin, as we discussed the future of healthcare in South Carolina! Inspired to have representation of small and big business, policy leaders, the South Carolina Nursing Association, and the Upstate Nurse Practitioner Association at the table while we held an open and dignified discourse with our elected leader. Hoping it is the first of many!

Today is Hepatitis C Awareness Day! Have you been screened for Hepatitis C? It can be transmitted via blood, on things like toothbrushes and needles, and occasionally during sexual in*******se. It often has no symptoms but can cause significant health problems if left untreated.

It takes only a simple blood test, done at the office, to find out if you've been exposed, infected, or RE-infected (it is possible to have hepatitis C more than once, even after treatment). The providers at RISE (formerly A New Crossroad) are experienced in screening and treatment for the NOW CURABLE hepatitis.
