Dr. Kate Flynn—Embodied Alignment

Dr. Kate Flynn—Embodied Alignment Embodied alignment practitioner offering private sessions and small group work. Body-based, nervous-system-led, and guided by your own internal authority.

I work with people who feel called to real change but are tired of surface-level solutions. Embodied alignment is a body-first approach that helps restore nervous system support, clarify intention, and integrate change in a way that actually lasts. Rather than working on the mind alone, this work begins with the body—so insight, decisions, and alignment can settle instead of staying theoretical. I offer private alignment intensives and small group experiences, both in person and online. This work is not about fixing yourself. It’s about restoring connection so your system can lead.

Your Earth Ship

We talk a lot about “listening to your intuition,”
but almost no one talks about where intuition actually lives.

Not in your mind.
Not in your thoughts.
But in the body — your Earth ship for this entire human experience.

If you’ve been feeling foggy, overwhelmed, or unsure…
it’s rarely a mindset problem.
It’s a disconnection problem.

When the body and mind stop communicating, instincts go quiet.

Reconnection is a skill — and it changes everything.
Let’s explore it together. 🌿

Your toes might be affecting more than you think.

Mental health isn’t just happening in your head.

Your nervous system is constantly gathering information from your body — especially from the parts that connect you to the ground.

When movement, balance, and sensation are unclear, your system stays on edge.
When they’re restored, clarity and calm follow.

This is why How to Human and Body First exists.

Not to fix you — but to bring your system back online so your instincts can do their job.

Sometimes the biggest shifts start in the most unexpected places.

Alignment changes what healing can't.

At some point, doing more inner work stops working.

Not because you didn’t try hard enough —
but because clarity doesn’t come from effort alone.

When your body is disorganized, your nervous system stays loud.
And when your nervous system is loud, instinct gets drowned out.

Alignment begins when the body comes back online.
When movement, breath, balance, and sensation start communicating again.
From there, decisions get simpler. Relationships get clearer. Life gets easier to navigate.

This is the foundation of How to Human — and it’s meant to be shared in community.

If this resonates, maybe it’s time to experience it…
or bring it to the people around you.

Most people think they’re “listening to their body”…
but what they’re actually listening to is their mind’s interpretation of their body.

True instinct doesn’t come from thinking.
It comes from a nervous system that’s clear, coordinated, and online — the kind of body that instantly tells you:

This is true.
This is not.
This is for me.
This is not.

When the mind–body connection is weak, your instincts stay quiet.
When it’s strong, your clarity becomes unmistakable.

This is why alignment isn’t a mindset.
It’s a physiology.

And this is why How to Human begins with Body First—because until your body becomes a reliable source of truth, alignment will always feel out of reach.

If you’re ready for clarity you can feel, not guess…
Body First is where it begins.

Not all “healing” practices reconnect you to yourself.
Some of the things that feel the best — journaling, dancing, emotional releases, massage, energy work — can actually take you out of your body if you’re using them to escape discomfort rather than move through it.

There’s a huge difference between being soothed
and being aligned.

Most people don’t know how to move their own energy,
how to move their own body,
or how to cultivate grounding from the inside out.

When you learn to stay in your body, healing stops being something you chase —
it becomes the way you live.

Alignment Changed Everything

There’s a peace that comes when you stop chasing healing
and start living in alignment.
Your body knows how to find its way back —
you just have to let it.

Would you like to know how I did it?

More importantly, would you like to know if it could work for you?

Our Story

Your place for Holistic—Mind, Body, and Spirit—Wellbeing in Powell, Tennessee. My office is located inside of Nature’s Fountain Yoga Studio. We are a one-stop-shop for self-care and, along with my services, we offer facials and esthetics, massage and reflexology, and traditional and aerial yoga.

What is Holistic Health? It’s an approach to healing that encompasses your Whole Being—from what you eat and drink, to how you move your body, and how you handle stress and respond to life circumstances.

For an example, let’s look at weight. I’ve heard it said many times that a healthy weight is determined by diet (80%) and exercise (20%). While I could poke a few holes in this philosophy based on age and genetics, for the most part, I can agree with those stats. The problem with this view is that you are MORE than what you eat and how many steps you take.

Your physical body, from how much it weighs to how fluidly it moves to how healthy it feels, is representative of your emotions, your thoughts, the things you’ve experienced, AND what you eat and whether or not you are active or sedentary.
